
Wesley Smith
Consultant
Wesley G. Smith is a consultant specializing in Government Relations. He is currently the Director of Public Policy for the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce and also serves as the Executive Director of the Immigration Policy Coalition-a coalition representing a diverse group of businesses, non-profits and community organizations. He served as a member of Congressman Chris Cannon's Immigration Advisory Counsel. Wesley is a member of the Utah State Bar and a founding partner of the Salt Lake City law firm Smith Hammond, LLP. Wesley is also an Adjunct Instructor in the Communication Department at Utah Valley State College.
Wesley earned his Juris Doctorate from The George Washington University School of Law in Washington, D.C. While working in Washington, D.C., Wesley served President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney in several capacities. His White House experience includes working in the Office of Presidential Advance, the Office of the Vice President and the Office of Counsel to the President. He was appointed to serve at the Environmental Protection Agency by the then Administrator of the EPA, Governor Michael O. Leavitt.
